One Down, Three To Go

Here you see Andy enjoying the lovely June weather, on his first day of Summer Vacation!

Yep, through the miracles of Internet Academy, Andy finished 9th grade and is officially a Sophomore in waiting. The other kids will be joining him in Summer Vacationville over the next week-and-change - I don't think any of them have the same last day this year!

...which just means they'll each get their own highlight post for finishing the school year! Go Kidz!

Next year Andy will be leaving Internet Academy and returning to traditional school. He'll do 10th grade (hopefully through graduation) at Foss High School in Tacoma. Last week, he and Cindy met with the principal and counselor to put his plan in place, and Andy is excited to get back to regular school. IA was a great escape from the horrors that were middle school, but it began to be problematic when his math problems were WAY beyond what we could help him with, and teachers didn't respond as quickly to his emails as he would have liked... So it's back to real live teachers in the classroom. Good Times!

Hey Andy, Heidi says there was snow in Spokane this morning, maybe you should go over there and go sledding to celebrate Summer!

  1. Big Congratulations to Andy!!! We will certainly keep him in our prayers as he ventures back into the evil realm of public school. Heidi called me this morning at 8:30 to tell me about the snow. She didn't want to wait for me to read her comment.
Oh, and who doesn't love that naughty little Bloo??!!!???
