I forgot to mention in my rush-to-get-the-story-out post yesterday, but when Katie heard that our family was adopting her baby, she got really excited! She remembers Cindy and the girls from their time in her mother's classroom, and couldn't be happier that we'll be loving that baby!
In fact, she's so excited that she has started eating!! (remember from yesterday's post, that Katie suffers from anorexia) She's been ordering pizza, pot stickers and more, and says she wants to help give us the healthiest baby she can!
NEW UPDATE!
As I was typing that, Cindy called me... Katie has developed blood clots in both arms, from being in a hospital bed with a feeding tube for the past several weeks. The doctors can't do anything about the clots until the baby is born, so they have set a date for a C-Section birth, and it's a lot sooner than we were hoping...
On December 4th, we will be the proud parents of New Baby Girl Brinkerhoff!!
YIKES!! THAT'S ONLY FOUR WEEKS FROM TODAY!!
Pray for us... And.. ya know... send us baby stuffs!!

I just got all caught up on your last several posts! I have goose bumps! This is so wonderful and I know that she was meant for your family :) What a blessing! 4 weeks!! So exciting! I've got to shop for your new little girl now...

ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing blessing from God! We are so happy for you all and can't wait to see pictures of your new baby girl. Just so you know, I do check your blog almost everyday even though I don't usually post. It is so nice to reconnect with family this way. I am sorry I am just not as good as you guys are about keeping up with it. I honestly don't know how you find the time to post everyday:) Actually, I got a new macbook computer a few months ago (I used to have a PC) and I have to still figure out how to blog in a different way. I promise I will figure it out though. Talk to you guys soon.

Wow! Not only not 9 months, not only not 3 months, but zero to baby in just one month. Do you feel like you have just been given the biggest test you will ever take? I just can't wait to meet my new little niece!!!!!

Also, I did lay claim to those baby blankies - the clothes looked like they already had takers, but I put my name in there too, just in case.
