In my daycare whenever there is a decision to be made, we put it to a vote.It works like this. "everyone put heads down and eyes are closed" I give approved choices and the kids voice their opinions by raising their hands.
Tonight we as a family have put to vote what our new baby will be named... Our approved choices are this:
- Mikayla
- Julia
- Ava (my favorite)
What is your vote?
I like Julia best. I like Ava too, but it is getting to be over used in my good opinion. No on Mikayla. You all ready have a Kaylie. Julia is a very beautiful name, and I don't think there will be 4 other Julia's in her kindergarten class.

I voted for Mikayla -- although it is similar to Kaylee -- and could get confusing when you're trying to yell at your children. You know -- Kaylee, Mikayla -- whatever your name is -- get over here! Ava is my second favorite -- especially if you're pronouncing it AH-vah.

I would go with Julia for the same reasons as Heidi. I think it is a beautiful, possibly even cutting edge name. Nowadays there are just a few too many trendy names. Not that they are bad names at all, I just think "Julia" is so classic and beautiful. It's a well known name but in no way is it overused. Plus, you now know that at least two family members would love her name.
I would say Julia and Ava. I love them both. Julia in the Sound of Music singing these are a few of my favorite things. What a perfect picture.

I love the name Julia the best. I like Ava....just I have known a lot of Ava's born in the past few years...and I mean A LOT!

Definitely Julia! Ava and Mikayla are so overused. And I had to look back at the post to spell Mikayla. Julia is beautiful.
